Artifact Cider Project makes cider for the new Northeast. We produce craft cider in a variety of styles by respecting tradition, but refusing to let it limit us. Using local apples and innovative cidermaking practices, we create ciders that are as authentic, eclectic, and forward-looking as the region they come from.

Learn about us
CyclePottery studio was founded in 2013 by Kathryn Kothe: Mother of 3; avid cyclist who still jumps in bike races from time to time; sociology graduate school drop-out turned potter and entrepreneur; co-founded AtheletReg.com (home of BikeReg.com, RunReg.com, & more).
Background: As a child, her favorite activity at Gnaw Bone Camp in Southern Indiana was the creek hike to collect the rich red clay they would then take back to camp, painstakingly shave down on slate boards, then add water to make the clay just right to form little pots on the wheel. It wasn't until she came to UMass for graduate school where she discovered that the artisan culture and professions, especially in Western Mass, were actually thriving. After taking lessons from Erica Wurtz, and Nancy LaPointe, she left graduate school for a 2 year full time apprenticeship with Tom White of Northfield, MA while bike racing full time and coaching cyclists. Mothering soon after became her primary focus for 10 years, and then she started CyclePottery by creating custom mugs for bike races and events and cyclists. After teaching a few friends and a few kids back in 2013 and 2014, CyclePottery blossomed into the community studio and gallery it is today.
Experience and Background
I first became interested in investing when I won a mock stock market investors contest in my 8th grade math class. As that interest grew over the years that followed, I mindfully chose to begin a career that brings great fulfillment advising my cherished clients at Edward Jones.
Investing is not unlike many aspects in today's world. It can be confusing, worrisome and stressful. Over the past 10 years as a financial advisor, I have taken great pride in relieving my clients of these burdens. Taking an interest in your goals, priorities and tolerance for risk, we use an established process to tailor recommendations to your specific needs.
Born and raised in Easthampton, I graduated from the Isenberg School of Business at UMass Amherst in 2004. I still reside in Easthampton today, with my wife, Courtney, and our two dogs, Dexter and Rocco. In my free time, I enjoy travel, golf, skiing and sometimes staying home and rooting for the Patriots or Red Sox.
Most of my clients have invested in one way or another before we met, usually through an old employer's retirement plan or at a bank or credit union. The value that I often bring as a financial advisor is bringing it all together - what does it all mean, and how is your hard-earned money helping you reach your long-term goals. After getting to know me and our process, many of my clients feel relieved to have met the financial advisor they will work with for the rest of their life.
My branch team includes Linda Taylor, who boasts 15 years of serving clients at Edward Jones. We work in collaboration with 5,500 home office associates in St. Louis to deliver a client experience that we believe is unmatched in the industry. We often consult with our clients' tax attorneys, accountants and other trusted professionals to establish a personalized approach.
These are just a few of the reasons I wake up every morning and look forward to coming to a job that I love, making a truly positive impact on people's lives.
